Information on presentations and posters

Preparation of oral presentations

The presentations for the lectures should be created as MS PowerPoint files in 16:9 format and submitted to the media check on site on a USB stick at least 2 hours before the start of the session.

All data will be uploaded centrally to the lecture rooms via the media check. It is not possible to use your own notebooks or USB sticks in the meeting rooms.
If a presentation is to take place in the first time slot on Friday or Saturday, please submit it the day before. Presentations to be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, can be submitted from 8:30 a.m. onwards.
Presentations containing videos or animations as well as special fonts or characters must be checked in advance. The technicians in the media check will be happy to assist you.
All files provided will be deleted immediately after the end of the conference.

Disclosure of conflicts of interest
As part of the certification of the conference by the Saxon State Medical Association, all speakers are obliged to disclose any conflicts of interest in their contribution. A slide template is available here .
The official PowerPoint template in the conference layout is available here for download.

As of this year, the conference language will be English so that the steadily growing number of international participants can follow all contributions.
In exceptional cases, sessions may be held in German. All participants will be informed in advance.

Guidelines for poster authors

Poster contributions should be shown both on site on poster walls and online in the conference app and in an ePoster Walk.

Instructions for producing the posters:
Posters must be produced in DIN A0 format (84.1 x 118.9 cm, portrait) for presentation on site and brought along.
Please prepare your posters and presentations in English so that international participants can also read them.

NEW: One clear poster design for everyone!
In order to get the most important and significant information out of the poster exhibition, we have designed a general poster template according to the criteria of the well-known betterposter.org initiative (more information and impressions can be found here).
We ask all poster authors to use this poster template exclusively for the presentation of their scientific results this year!

The central presentation of the main theses on this type of poster, together with selected graphics and literature references as well as general information on the published research work, is intended to encourage the audience to delve deeper into the subject matter. At the same time, the scaled-down presentation of the content is intended to give all conference participants a quick and informative overview of the current state of research in pathology - simply by taking a tour of the poster exhibition! We hope that this will help you to make the content and results of your posters more accessible to a wider audience than before!
As a special highlight!
As a gift to you (and all participants who are fast enough), we will publish all main theses of posters uploaded to the ePoster upload section in the abstract submission user accounts by May 21, 2025 on a large limited edition review poster as a take away at the conference. Be quick!

The general poster walk-through on site at CCL will take place on Friday morning, June 13, 2025 from 10:15 to 11:45 am . Each poster will be given 3 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion. We kindly ask you to adhere to the scheduled speaking time!
Please hang up the posters on the respective poster board, which shows your poster number. We will provide you with mounting material on site at the registration counter.

Creation of the ePosters:
Please upload your poster in PDF format as well as a short audio presentation (mp3) of approx. 3 minutes by May 21, 2025 (for the overview poster with the main thesis), but no later than June 9, 2025 in your account in the abstract portal. A corresponding upload function will be available for each accepted poster abstract from April 2025.

The files will be made available to all conference participants in the app and in an ePoster-Walk for viewing and listening to the poster presentations for three months until September 14, 2025.
With the help of a QR code, the available audio files for the posters can be accessed and listened to at any time during the conference directly via the conference app on the smartphone.
Tip: We recommend using the voice memo functions on your smartphone to create the mp3 audio files.

Timing of the poster exhibition:
The posters can be hung up on the designated poster walls in the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) from Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 am. However, they should be available at the latest by Friday, June 13, 2025 at 9:45 a.m. before the start of the poster session.
All posters should remain on display for the entire duration of the conference.
The removal of posters on site can take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025 after the lunch break.
Posters that have not been taken down will be disposed of after the conference.
